Coaching sessions will typically last between 45 minutes to an hour, after an initial assessment, sessions can be conducted via telephone, face-to-face or virtually via video calls and occasionally through instant messaging.
During the session, your coach will ask you some questions to determine your desired outcome for the session, such as what area of your life you want to focus on, what areas you’re unhappy with and where you’d like to see yourself in the future. Although a coach will work with you to gain valuable insights, it’s up to you to decide what actions you wish to take to move you forward to the next level, there will never be any expectation or pressure from your coach for you to take a specific action/next step. You will never be forced to make any decisions you don’t feel comfortable with and all sessions will be confidential, allowing you to explore your thoughts and feelings privately in a safe space.
Coaching is often seen as a partnership between you and your coach, who will gently encourage you to explore how to make positive changes in your life based on your desired outcomes. As coaches we also offer support, accountability and feedback. We help you to stay focused on your goals and will occasionally set you tasks and objectives to work on outside of sessions.

There are many coaching styles used to address different situations and to direct a coaching session. Depending on your goals and how you wish to achieve these. We will assess you and determine a coaching style that meets your individual needs.

Coaching focuses on you, the client in the here and now , and sessions are focused always with the future in mind, to encourage personal development and self-improvement. Counselling is a form of talking therapy associated with assessing the individual in the here and now, whilst also focusing on past events that have contributed to your current struggles. A counsellor will help you develop coping mechanisms and strategies to move forward with your life. Whilst a coach can help with coping mechanisms and strategies, a coach will not focus on the past. The focus of coaching is always about moving you forward to the next level, helping you crush your goals with speed and ease.
The main difference between counselling and coaching is that counselling can investigate the underlying causes of mental health problems. Coaches are not qualified to diagnose or treat any health-related problems, although if a situation arises in which we feel you require help outside of our expertise, we would suggest you seek the attention of a medical expert.
The term ‘life coach’ encompasses a range of areas. Within these areas, a coach may choose to specialise in a specific topic such as business or relationships.
Business coaches choose to coach individuals looking to excel in business. This could include entrepreneurs, company owners, CEOs, Managers or even employees. There is always an element of life coaching involved, regardless of if you choose a business or relationship coach. Most coaching niches have their foundation in life coaching, after all, most start with looking at the person and their life as the foundation on which to build upon.
Coaches utilise tools and strategies to help you in all aspects of life, business/work, finances, relationships, health etc. If you’ve ever struggled with something – whether it be moving out of your comfort zone, improving your confidence or starting healthy habits, then consulting a life coach could help you.
A coach will approach things pragmatically. Through questions and exercises, they will aim to get an idea of how you perceive the world. From this, they will be able to identify the most effective route to for you to achieve your goals.
Some people feel intimidated by the idea of change and so need to take things slowly to fulfil their goals. In this situation, a coach might divide goals into smaller bite-sized pieces. Other people may get impatient and lose interest. In this situation, a coach might suggest introducing stronger reminders and incentives to keep them on track. Coaching is tailored to the individual with the sole purpose of helping
However you approach life, your coach will be able to tailor your sessions to fit. Subjects our coaches deal with include:
  • Relationships – Do you wish you had the confidence to approach someone you like romantically? Do you struggle with commitment? Are you struggling to cope with a divorce? Do you want to save your relationship, and reignite the fire? A coach could help you to understand your love life and work towards improving it.
  • Business life – Starting and running a business is tough work. Sometimes we get so absorbed in hard work we neglect ourselves. Coaches can help build confidence, develop leadership skills, enhance decision-making abilities, help you scale your business, help you work smarter not harder and achieve a work/life balance.
  • Personal life – Do you feel like you’re not making the most of life? There’s so much to see, do and learn in this world, but often a lack of confidence, time and willpower can cause us to stay inside our comfort zones, doing nothing. Life coaches use specialist skills to motivate you to do the things you want to do, see and achieve, so you can finally fight the urge to procrastinate.
  • Performance – Improvement is at the heart of life coaching. Whatever your skill, coaching could help improve it. Help you reach the next level! Whether you’re an athlete, an artist, a writer, a performer, or a musician – adopting specialist techniques will help you to push your limitations and exceed expectations. Coaching helps you achieve more than you ever could on your own.

You can choose a coaching package to meet your own needs. Most coaches do not recommend any less than 3 months of coaching, that’s the minimum period required to achieve lasting changing and take you to the next level. Because we operate over the phone or via the Internet, the sessions can easily fit around your schedule.
